These words were uttered by William Carey, known as the 'Father of Modern Missions". He served, lived, and died , near Calcutta (Kolkata) in South Bengal. In the spirit of William Carey the projects currently supported by Compassion Way serve this same region and have spread from South Bengal to all points of the compass. This region serves as the administrative center for all projects we support in East India and Bangladesh.
OUR PROJECTS
VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PROJECTS IN SOUTH BENGAL
The video below was made in cooperation with Compassion International, focusing on the programs supported in part by Compassion Way in South Bengal and their impact on Indian society and culture. As of the summer of 2016 the government of India has revoked the license of the administrative arm of Compassion International in East India and funding for children in hundreds of Child Development Centers in this region has been cut off. This is just one example of growing persecution and hostility towards Christians in India. We at Compassion Way are earnestly seeking God's direction on how we might help Covenant Family Church in South Bengal to continue their programs for children despite the loss of hundreds of sponsorships from Compassion International.
